Hitting the home stretch

Butler County football is hitting the home stretch.
Some teams are getting ready for the playoffs, and the playoffs begin this week for others.
Whatever the case may be, it’s not going to be an easy week for anyone in the county.
Macon-East at Fort Dale
Both teams are 8-2 heading into this game, and the Eagles have some big question marks from injuries.
Despite these injuries, Fort Dale did well against Lowndes last week, and I think they’ll find a way to win against Macon-East.
Being the playoffs, it’ll be close, but look for Fort Dale to come out ahead.
Fort Dale 28, Macon-East 17
Wetumpka at Greenville
Wetumpka makes their way to Greenville with their only loss coming against Prattville.
Greenville showed last week that they’re not intimidated by playing an opponent with a better record.
I think the Tigers will come out ready to rock and roll on senior night and will pull the upset.
Greenville 35, Wetumpka 27
Hillcrest at Georgiana
Georgiana is playing a bigger opponent for the second time this season.
They gave Greenville all they could handle, and I think they’ll be ready for this game.
A win against Hillcrest would give Georgiana a huge amount of momentum heading into the playoffs.
Georgiana 30, Hillcrest 24
McKenzie at Red Level
McKenzie is trying to salvage the season with a win, however, not even a win in this game would save Red Level’s season.
McKenzie was able to play with one of the best teams in 1A last week against Florala, and I don’t think they’ll have any trouble with Red Level.
Unless Red Level pulls all the tricks out of the bag on senior night, I see McKenzie winning this one.
McKenzie 40, Red Level 14
Current high school record: 25-10
