SEC games dominate weekend

It looks like I got back on the right track after last week, although there were a few games that threw me for a loop.
I’m glad I correctly picked the Illinois-Ohio State upset.
I sat and watched that game, and what a great game it was.
There are quite a few SEC conference games this week, so for my other picks, I’ll be going a bit further out-of-conference than normal.
Also, Troy has an off week this week, so that’s why the Trojans’ prediction is absent.
Alabama vs Ole Miss
Alabama started the season strong, but has struggled since the tough loss to Georgia.
The culmination of this near-catastrophe was last week when the Tide almost let Homecoming slip away from them against Houston.
If you saw the Ole Miss-Florida game, you know that the Rebels can play with anyone in the SEC.
This will be a close game, but I think Saban will have his troops ready to go in and win.
Alabama 28, Ole Miss 24
Auburn vs Arkansas
Last week, I expected Auburn to beat Vanderbilt, but I didn’t expect the whoopin’ that I saw.
So far, Arkansas hasn’t been the team I expected them to be.
Two out of three of their wins came against Sun Belt teams, and the last came over IAA Chattanooga.
The Hogs may be fired up to win their first SEC game at home, but if Auburn has the ground game running like they did last week, that means they’ll win the time of possession battle.
The longer Auburn has the ball, the less time it’s in the hands of Darren McFadden and Felix Jones.
Auburn 24, Arkansas 17
