Trying to get back on track

It seems like I’ve fallen into a bit of a slump here lately.
Last week wasn’t a good week for me, and it wasn’t that great for Butler County football either.
This week we have a couple of homecomings in the county, so maybe that trend will change.
Tallassee at Greenville
It’s homecoming, so Greenville will be sure to be fired up and ready to go.
Tallassee has been having a decent year, but the Tigers will be hungry for a win after last week’s loss to Valley.
Look for Greenville to come away with the victory.
Greenville 35, Tallassee 17
Ariton at McKenzie
Ariton is having a pretty good year, but not compared to McKenzie.
Sure, the Tigers lost last week to Brantley.
That doesn’t mean that McKenzie doesn’t have a good team.
They lost last week, it’s homecoming this week, and it’s at Williams-Vickery Field.
Once you add all those things together, that means a McKenzie victory.
McKenzie 40, Ariton 28
Georgiana at Flomaton
This is an important game because of the playoff implications.
Flomaton got beat last week by Leroy, while Georgiana regained some confidence against Red Level.
I think this will end up being a close game, but the homefield advantage goes to Flomaton.
Flomaton 31, Georgiana 18
Fort Dale at Morgan
Fort Dale had a big loss to Glenwood last week, but you can bet that won’t happen again this week.
The Morgan Senators are struggling so far this season, and I think they’re just what the Eagles needed to get back on their feet.
Although the game is in Selma, I think the Eagles will get back on track in a big way.
Fort Dale 35, Morgan 17
