Dorothy Brown Washington Greene died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 in Birmingham.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Herukiasan Howard. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 at Robert L. Austin Elementary School in Georgiana with the Rev. J. O. Meeks presiding. Burial to follow in Sarah Gooden Cemetery.

She is survived by:

loving husband, Robert W. Greene; a sister, Gwendolyn White; children, Fannie B. Chisholm (Clyde), Mary Ann Herron (William), Marjorie Veal (Herman), Janet Williams (Ray) and Darrell Greene; grandchildren, Mikki Dixon Machokoto (Solomon), Natalie McCray Maye (Terrell), Dorothiann McCray, Gabriel Herron, Devon Herron, Bilal Abd AlRahman, Lavonne Herron, Jamil Howard, Raven Williams, Desiree Williams and Darrell Greene Jr.; a great-grandson, Prince Terrell Maye; two brothers-in-law, John Greene (Dorothy) and Bernard Greene; a special niece and nephew, Tonya Brown and Willie White (Margaret), other relatives and friends; Smith and Gaston SoSide directing.
