Elizabeth Pat Surratt, age 80, a resident of Greenville, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007.
A funeral services was held Monday, December 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home, with the Reverend Jim Helms officiating and Harrison Funeral Home directing.
A visitation was held for friends and family from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment was December 5, 2007 in the Rose Lawn Cemetery, Bluefield, West Virginia, with Dr. Allen Hammond officiating.
Survivors include: her husband of 62 years, B.B. Surratt Jr. of Greenville; daughters, Lanelle Toni (Larry) Hendrick of Greenville, Pippa Jane (David) Hammond of Bluefield; son, David A. (Penny) Surratt of Dallas, Tx.; brothers, James (Mary) Pruitt of Arkansas, Hershell (Peggy) Pruitt of Tyler, Tx., sister, Geneva Salyers of Michigan; grandchildren, Heath (Tracey) Hendrick, Josh Hendrick, Christa (Chad) McGriff, Alecia Surratt, Megan Hammond (Brad) Carr, Jordan Hammond and Kyle Hammond, and great-grandchildren, Luke Hendrick, Sidney McGriff, Grant McGriff and Brandon Carr.
Mrs. Surratt was a former director of training and teacher for the West Virginia School of Cosmetology. She was a member of Quota International – Professional Women’s Club, and served as president of United Methodist Women and WSCS, youth director and as Sunday School superintendent. Mrs. Surratt served as a consultant to estate reductions and liquidators, was an owner of classic antiques and in her retirement, remained active in church and community affairs. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Bluefield, West Virginia, she attended Call To Life Ministries after moving to Greenville.
