Carl BoBo Smith

Carl &uot;BoBo&uot; Smith, a resident of Austin, Texas and formerly of Greenville, died Tuesday, June 11, 2008.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the House of God Church with Pastor, Elder Calvin Crenshaw and James Herbert Funeral Home directing.

He is survived by: Karen Smith; an only son Chris and a grandson, Jordan, all of Austin, Texas; sisters, Eloise (Eddie) Cooper of Fayetteville, Ga. and Vivian (Willie) Wright of Waco, Texas; brothers, Jimmie (Pearl) Jones of Austin and Leon (Cherryl) Jones of Hillside, N.J., sister-in-law, Esther (Ronald) Smith of Austin, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was born in Greenville on April 4, 1951 and became a member of the House of God Church at an early age. After graduating from high school, he pursued a year of undergraduate studies at Mary Holmes College in Westpoint, Miss. In later years, he moved to Austin where he resided until his death.
