Mrs. Inez Gunter Northrop, 94, of Flomaton, passed away Mon., Sept. 8, in Andalusia.
Funeral services for Mrs. Northrop will be held at 2 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 11, 2008, at the Flomaton First Baptist Church. Dr. Jerry Keese will officiate and Flomaton Funeral Home will direct. Interment will follow in the Flomaton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thurs., Sept. 11, beginning at 12:30 p.m. and will continue until service time at 2 p.m. at the Flomaton First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Northrop was a native of Covington County and a member of the Flomaton community for 72 years where she attended Flomaton First Baptist Church and was a self-employed beautician.
Survivors include her sons, Clyde (Patricia) Northrop III of Andalusia and Kenneth Gunter (Saranne) Northrop of Jasper; daughter, Susan (Joe) McMath of Flomaton; sister, Elgie Lee Mason of Luverne; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde M. Northtrop Jr., and their son, John Thomas Northrop.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan McMath, Joey McMath, Jeremy McMath, Josh Northrop, Lee Nichols, Ken Northrop, Mac Northrop and Shawn Hennessey.
