The Pleasant Home Eagles (1-2, 0-2 in Class 1A, Region 2) will face off against 3-0 McKenzie this Friday night.
Last week, McKenzie won against Ariton, 40-28.
Head coach Robert Bradford said the game is a rivalry game and that the team is “excited” to be playing in it.
“It’s a big rivalry game for us,” Bradford said. “We’re excited to play in it and we are looking forward to Friday.”
As far as game strategy, Bradford said the team is just going to play “Pleasant Home football.”
“We are going to try to outplay McKenzie every play and play harder than they do on every down,” he said. “We’re going to try and do what we do best and stop what they do best.”
Bradford said the cool weather this week has helped the players get energized for the game.
“Practice is going good and the nice cool weather has been a blessing,” Bradford said. “It’s helped in charging us up at practice.”
Kickoff at Pleasant Home will be at 7 p.m.
