Pleasant Home racked up more than 500 yards of offense on the way to a shutout road win over Rocky Bayou Christian Friday night, 37-0.

Eagles coach Robert Bradford said his team needed the win after opening its season with a grueling group of opponents.

“We were looking for a game like this,” he said. “We played Ariton and McKenzie who are ranked, and another really good team in Geneva County. Rocky Bayou is still a young program learning how to play the game, so it was nice to have a balanced win tonight for our guys.”

Ethan King scored on an 8-yard run in the first quarter to put the Eagles up 6-0. Pleasant Home added three more touchdowns in the second quarter on the way to a 24-0 halftime lead.

Frank Senn scored on an 18-yard run, C.J. Langley scored on a 7-yard run and King completed a 10-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Barbaree.

Langley scored his second touchdown of the game in the third quarter, on a 2-yard run. The Eagles’ final score came in the fourth quarter when Cory Sims scored on a 73-yard touchdown run.

Pleasant Home (2-3) travels to Brantley next week.
