School spirit was the name of the game at Straughn’s annual Homecoming celebration on Friday as students took to the gym floor to prove who had the most school spirit.

Classes participated in events such as dizzy races, spoon egg competition and snack bag races where students were required to consume the entire contents of a mystery snack bag before racing back to the finish line.

In addition to holding the student competitions, school officials treated visiting alumni to a luncheon in their honor before the pep rally and parade held after lunch.
