Mr. Robert Larry Terry, 63, of Evergreen, died Sat., Oct. 4, 2008, in Mizell Memorial Hospital in Opp.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tues., Oct. 7, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Red Oak Church Cemetery with full military honors and Keahey Funeral Home directing.
The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Keahey Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Kelley Terry of Evergreen; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ryan L. (Serena) Terry of Brewton and Phillip Terry of Evergreen; one daughter and son-in-law, Monica (Jim) Walker of Shelby, Ala.; sister, Jewell Mitchell of Evergreen; 10 grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda, Gabriella, Martin, Kelsey, Taylor, Amber, Sam, Karly and Kristen; and one great-grandson, Ryan Matthew.
Mr. Terry was preceded in death by his son, John Edward Terry, in 1982, and a daughter, Kelly Terressa Terry, in 2004.
Mr. Terry retired after 22 years in the U.S. Navy on May 31, 1989. He retired again after 15 years with the Craft Food Company. He was the youth Sunday school teacher at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Loango.
Pallbearers were Stanley Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Greg Terry, Billy Patterson, Thomas Sims and Mike Kelley.
