Two Andalusia men are accused of stealing a specialty hood off of a vehicle in Gantt Monday.

A Covington County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said 20-year-old Anthony Charles Cotton and 19-year-old Ryan Lane Walker are charged with second-degree theft of property and unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle after they confessed to stealing a “scooped” hood from a vehicle at a home off of Dunns Bridge Road.

“Both (Walker and Cotton) confessed after being interviewed,” the spokesman said after the two were located by Deputy Jason Ballard.

The specialty hood is valued at $1,000. Currently, both Cotton and Walker are being held in the Covington County Jail under a $20,000 bond on the two class “C” felony charges.
