Mrs. Helen Worley Elliott, 79, of Andalusia, died Thurs., Oct. 16, 2008, in an Opp nursing facility.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sun., Oct. 20, 2008, at Oakey Ridge Baptist Church with the Revs. Fred Kelley and Robert Canant officiating. Interment followed in Oakey Ridge Cemetery with Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence W. Elliott, and grandson, Bryan Elliott.
Mrs. Elliott is survived by sons, DeWayne Elliott and Gil L. (Dana) Elliott, both of Andalusia; daughters, Elaine (Pastor Jim) Shates of Baker, Fla., and Gail (Steve) Wiggins of Andalusia; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Worley of Antioch Community; and sisters, Grace Galloway of Prattville and Betty (Rev. John) Maust of Wing.
