Brrrrr! Temps in 30’s this week

Local residents might find themselves asking “What happened to fall? as temperatures went from a Sunday high in the upper 70s to an expected low off 33 degrees last night.

Today’s high is expected to top out at 60 degrees with an overnight low at 35 degrees – a far cry from the recent warm, sunny days.

Meteorologists at the National Weather Service Office in Birmingham have issued a freeze watch for Tuesday night through Wednesday morning for most of central Alabama.

The trend is expected to continue in the coming days with low Wednesday expected at 39 degrees; 42 degrees on Thursday night for Halloween on the Square and 45 degrees for football Friday night.
