Robert Thomas Griffin Sr., 79, of Clanton, died Thurs., Oct. 30, 2008, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.
Services will be held Sun., Nov. 2, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Baptist Cemetery in Clanton with Martin Funeral Home of Clanton directing.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, Sat., Nov. 1, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Griffin was born on Wed., May 22, 1929, in Coffee County. He was the son of the late Willard S. Griffin and the late Maggie Lee McCart Griffin. He was a bread salesman for Colonial Bread Company.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Griffin of Clanton; daughter, Carolyn L. Griffin of Homewood; four sons, Robert Thomas Griffin Jr. of Clanton, George Gary Griffin of Yorktown, Va., David Joel Griffin of Jasper and W. Alan Griffin of Jasper; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Roland Griffin of Kissimmee, Fla.
