Mr. Billy Eugene Powell Sr., 68, of Andalusia, died Thurs., Nov. 6, 2008, in an Opp hospital.
Funeral services were held Fri., Nov. 7, at Foreman Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Shafer officiating. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery.
Survivors include his son, Billy “Bill” Eugene Powell Jr. of Andalusia; his two grandchildren, Ken Powell of New Orleans and Jessica (Bill) Blane of Tuscon; his two sisters and brothers-in-law; Ollie (Bob) Peacock of Peachtree City, Ga., and Margaret (Bill) Grimm of Newport, Ky.; and his brother and sister-in-law, Jim (Betty) Powell of Newport.
Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his sons, Jeff Powell and Kenny Powell, and a brother, Lavon Powell.
Pallbearers included C.J. Coursey, Les Brown, Ethan Dorsey, Don Carter, Mickey Goodson and Steve Jerrell.
