Ouida Ballard

Mrs. Ouida B. Ballard, 75, of Wing, died at her home in the early morning hours of Jan. 15, 2009, following a battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sun., Jan. 18, 2009, at Red Oak Baptist Church at Escambia Farms, Fla., with the Rev. Roy Mooneyham officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ballard, who was a resident of Wing since the early 1950s, was preceded in death by her loving parents, Oliver and Virgie Branum of Escambia Farms, Fla.; a brother, Sedrick Ray Branum of Navarre Beach, Fla., and a sister, Glennis Becker of Pensacola, Fla.
Mrs. Ba­­llard was a lifelong member of Red Oak Baptist Church in Escambia Farms, Fla. She maintained a lifelong interest in gardening and horticulture. She had worked for Chemstrand Industries in Pensacola for approximately 11 years, and after this she had been a medical office secretary for several years.
Mrs. Ballard is survived by two sons, Roger Spicer and wife Terri and Jay Spicer and wife, Boots; five grandchildren, Fletcher Spicer and wife Michelle, Phillip Spicer, Matthew Spicer, Mark Spicer and wife Danah and Debra Spicer; five great grandchildren, Autumn Spicer, Jaleb Spicer, Luke Spicer, Seth Ansley and Jaylee Spicer all of Wing, and sister, Faye Wadsworth of Crestview, Fla.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. tonight at Foreman’s and 30 minutes prior to services at the church.
