This is in regard to your editorial in the Jan. 23, 2009, newspaper concerning Judge Roy Moore.

Once again, “Rome burns while Nero fiddles.”

While our news media puts down anyone who stands for the Ten Commandments, our country is slowly deteriorating with a reckless disregard for the very principles our country was founded on.

If not for those such as Judge Roy Moore and our local judge, who will take a stand?

Although I don’t know the true hearts of these people, neither do you, so why not permit those with seemingly good intentions be heard instead of lambasting them from the start?

It was once said, “You’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything.”
