Mr. Lomax Edward “Max” Long, 76, of Andalusia, died Wed., Feb. 25, 2009, in a Dothan hospital.
Funeral services were held Fri., Feb. 27, from the Foreman Funeral Home chapel. Minister Scott Penn and the Rev. Charles Fowler will officiate. Interment will be in the Mott Church of Christ Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Foley Long; one son, Bobby Long of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Tara Long and Britney Long both of Crestview, Fla., and Tiffany Long of Pottstown, Pa., and a sister, Peggy Long of Denver, Colo.
Pallbearers will be John Foley, Alan Lindsey, Rickey Gibson, Roger Sightler, Joe Coffield and Kevin Middleton. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Gantt Chapter of the American Legion Post #157.
