Red Level woman dies in Troy wreck

A Red Level woman is dead after being ejected from her vehicle Thursday night in Troy.

Linda Sheppard Bosley, 30, was traveling on County Road 2290, known as the Henderson Highway, at about 8:16 p.m. when her vehicle left the roadway and overturned several times.

There were no other vehicles involved in the accident, reports indicate.

“She was apparently traveling at a high rate of speed, “ said Pike County coroner Jerry Williams.

Bosley was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, he said. There were no other passengers in the vehicle.

The accident is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers, Troy Police Department, Pike County Sheriff’s Department and the Pike County Coroner’s Office.
