Mrs. Annie Merle Ray Green, 83, of Red Level, died Mon., April 27, 2009, in a Dothan hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, Wed., April 29, at the Fairmount Baptist Church with the Rev. Drexel Copeland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church 30 minutes prior to services.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Green and Tim Vick of Montgomery, Kay Green and Tommy Mathews of Brantley, Cindy Green and Wendell Sowell of Red Level, and Donna Green and Reese Long of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; her grandchildren, Tonya Mathew (Roland) Jones of Brantley, Tracy Mathew (Kevin) Kennedy of Brantley, Wendy Sowell (Michael) Peevy of Red Level, Stephanie Sowell (Tony) Taunton of Red Level, and Mathew Taylor Vick of Montgomery; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Nell Ray Henry of Andalusia.
Mrs. Green is preceded in death by her husband, David O. Green Sr.; her son, David O. Green Jr.; and her brothers, William “Buster” Ray, Claude Ray and Bill Ray.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Fairmount Baptist Church.
