Mrs. Opal Eiland Russell, 88, of Andalusia, died Wed., April 29, 2009, in a local nursing home.
Graveside services were held Fri., May 1, at the Fairmount Cemetery in Red Level, with the Rev. Larry Stewart officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her daughters, Ophelia (Tank) Merrill of Gantt, Lillian Russell of Sanford, Jeanette (Sheriel) Stacey and Peggy (Benny) Williamson of Andalusia; and her sons, Tracey (Diane) Russell and Ray Russell of Andalusia, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steve Merrill, Sammy Merrill, Joel Merrill, Curtis Russell, John Self and Dan Richardson.
