Mr. Marvin Lee Hess, 72, of the Straughn community, died Thurs. May 14, 2009 at his residence.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Sat., May 23, at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Brother Dale Norris officiating the services.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Clark Hess of the Straughn community; his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Anthony and Nancy Hess of Palm Bay, Fla., Glenn Clark and Shelba Hess of Eden, N.C., Randall Lee and Tracy Hess of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his grandchildren, Daniel Clark Hess of Eden, N.C., Rachel Marie Hess and Caleb Lee Hess of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his mother, Helen Hess of Andalusia; a brother, Duane Hess of Riviera Beach, Fla.; and two sisters, Patricia Bettinger of Stockton, Calif., and Vicki Marie Cryan of Andalusia.
Mr. Hess is preceded in death by his father, Col. Glenn C. Hess.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Covenant Hospice.
