I have a suggestion for Obama’s nominee for the Supreme Court, Judge Sonia Sotomayor.

Tell the Senate, “Hey, haven’t you guys ever said something in the flurry of a campaign, in a prepared speech written by someone else, that you later regretted and wanted to take back? I’m sure you have, so what is the big deal? Judge me on my merit, not on some one-liner I said nine years ago.

“If you are going to reject me based on this, do it now so the president can appoint someone else. We need a new justice confirmed by October.”
