Edgar Callaway McCreary, 83, of Evergreen, passed away Thurs., June 18, 2009, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.
Funeral services will be today, Sat., June 20, at 11 a.m. at Brooklyn Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Brooklyn Baptist Cemetery with Cope Funeral Home of Evergreen in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. McCreary was born June 29, 1925, in Conecuh County and spent his life farming and raising cattle.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Ruth McCreary of Evergreen; one son, John McCreary of Marietta, Ga.; two daughters, Susan Landreneanu of Dothan and Anna Bodiford of Evergreen; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
