Jimmy Baker of Ozark, won the first place trophy and cash prize as the Adult Singles Champion of the 34rd Annual World Championship Domino Tournament held this past weekend, while Mike Danford of Laurel Hill, Fla., teamed with Wayne Cline of Prague, Okla., took first place in the adult doubles competition.

This year’s tournament drew more than 400 entrants and numerous spectators from throughout the country. Proceeds benefit local and regional charities.

“People come to Andalusia from all over the country and around the world to play for the title of World Domino Champion,” says Dr. Charles Tomberlin, an avid domino player and founder of the event, which has grown into one of the premiere domino tournaments in the United States. “We guarantee fun, fellowship and the best competition in the world of dominoes. Players come back year after year to enjoy the competition and catch up with old friends.”
