Taking shape

Depending upon the weather, it will take approximately four to six weeks for the detail in the men’s faces to become complete, but it’s a job that mural artist Wes Hardin and his assistant Jennie Edwards-Bozeman were eager to take on.

Located on the side of the Cedar Creek Merchandise building, this 88-by-28-foot tall mural is the latest of four placed throughout the downtown area and spotlights the importance of the timber industry to the county’s development. There are others on the WAAO building, the Sugar Rush Bakery building and the Martin Theater building, each with a different theme.

This fourth mural illustrates the importance of the timber industry in Covington County.
