Mr. Bennie D. “Pete” Brewer, 75, of Monroe, La., passed away Fri, August 7, 2009. He was a former mason, a member of the Moose Lodge, a member of VFW and a member of the Exchange Club.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Mon., Aug. 10, 2009, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, La., with the Rev. Drexell Copeland officiating. Interment followed at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Neva Brewer; four children, Neva Katheryn Gilliland and husband David, Rene Hays and husband Richard, Michele Cross and husband Garry, and Charles Brewer and wife Tina; sister, Susie Baker and husband Ken; grandchildren, Kristen Jones and Terry, Marsha Hammons, Robert Hammons, Wade Gilliland, Christopher Hays, Stephen Cross, Christopher Cross, Brittney Brewer and Mike, Charlie Brewer, Jared Michael Cross, Taylor Brewer and Ashley Brewer; 11 great-grandchildren, Neva Kaitlyn Smith, Jessica Hammons, Neil Borden, Zachary Borden, Haleigh Jones, Vanessa Hammons, Cassie Hammons, Paul Michael Gilliland, Sarah Hammons, Stormie Gilliland and Anthony Finnegan, and four nephews, Craig Copeland, Ryan Copeland, Shannon Copeland and Drexell Copeland.

Pallbearers were Robert Hammons, Neil Borden, Jared Michael Cross, Wade Gilliland, Charlie Brewer and Neva Kaitlyn Smith.
