Mr. Andy Stone Edwards, 89, of Andalusia, died Sun., Sept., 13, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services will be held today at noon from the Foreman Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Phillip Morgan will officiate. Interment will be in the Bethany Cemetery.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nancy B. Edwards of Andalusia; a daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Todd Seagers of Destin, Fla.; a son, Robert Edwards of Philadelphia, Pa.; two grandchildren, Jonathon Penn and Celia Penn; one brother, William Edwards of Dadeville; two sisters, Helen Kelly of Chevy Chase, Md., and Betty Jane Black of Kosciusko, Miss.
Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by a sister, Ina Watson.
Pallbearers will be Doug Sorrels, Bill Tillman Sr., Claude Summerlin, Leotis Garrett, Ronny Penn and Ed Byers.
The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. today at Foreman Funeral Home. Flowers or memorials to the Gideons will be accepted.
