Bro. Hamilton Kendrick “Hamp” Nelson, 88, of Andalusia, died Mon., Sept. 14, 2009, in a Dothan hospital.
Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. from Scripture Truth Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Durwood Nelson and Dorman Nelson; sister, Lois Bozeman; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Parrish Nelson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Nelson, Clay Nelson, Ennis Nelson, Chris Taylor, Ricky Frazier and Mickey Robbins.
Carroll Parker and Wesley Hay will officiate with Wyatt Funeral Home directing.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Scripture Truth Baptist Church.
