SAM DOUGLAS WATSON JR.
Sam was born Feb. 15, 1967, in Baytown, Texas, and passed away Sun., Sept. 6, 2009, in a hospital in Mobile. He was employed as an insulator for Mansfield International.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William C. Watson; and his maternal grandfather, Wesley Floyd Scott.
He is survived by his parents, Sam D. and Joyce (Scott) Watson Sr. of Andalusia; his sons, Jonathan (Marcie) Watson and Sam D. Watson III, both of Red Level; his daughter, Brittany Ann Watson of Red Level; his brothers, Clint Watson of Andalusia and Scott Wesley Watson of Wetumpka; his sister, Alysha McLendon of Castleberry; his maternal grandmother, Lorine Scott of Moscow, Texas; the mother of his children, Deborah Watson of Red Level; his grandsons, Bryce and Malique; his granddaughters, Layla, Lana and Alyssa; the mother of his grandson Bryce, Toni Merritt; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sat., Sept. 12, at 2 p.m. from Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel in Corrigan, Texas. Bro. Charlie Hodge officiated and special music selections were “The Lighthouse,” “Go Rest High on That Mountain” and “Amazing Grace.” Pallbearers were Ryan Brown, Oscar Garcia, John Kennedy, Corey Mudd, Chad Mudd, Kevin Scott and Lance Scott.
Interment was in Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas.
