An Andalusia man died Monday in Coffee County when a deer ran out in front of his motorcycle.

Danny Ezell, 54, was traveling west on County Road 636 on his 2004 Honda motorcycle shortly after 3 p.m. when the accident occurred.

Covington County records show Ezell was a resident of Cantaline Bridge Road, which is located between Andalusia and Opp.

A public information officer for the Alabama State Troopers said Ezell was taken to Enterprise Medical Center, where, after suffering from internal injuries, he was pronounced dead.

Troopers do not believe alcohol or speed were factors in the crash, which occurred about 6 miles south of Enterprise; however, the investigation is still ongoing.
