Florala falls to Geneva County
Florala’s Wildcats lost to Geneva County 53-6 at home Friday night, but head coach Stan Gooden said the scoreboard didn’t tell the whole story.
“We played a lot better than we’ve played the last couple of weeks,” he said. “I know it might not look like it, but we did. Our biggest problem tonight was we missed a ton of tackles.”
Zach Fleming scored on a 1-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter to spoil Geneva County’s shutout bid. Lavoris Ball had two interceptions on defense for the Wildcats (1-6, 0-5).
Florala hosts Ariton next Friday for homecoming.
