Hurt feelings don’t equal discrimination

Dear Editor,

The item relating to the Adult Activity Center was interesting. (See the letter, “Policy discriminates against our children,” in the Sat., Nov. 21, paper.)

According to the writer, the signage and the actions of the staff were appropriate. Either the city council can act to satisfy the writer, or she can carry forth an initiative campaign and codify her intention.

Personally, I see no discrimination. There may have been an unfulfilled desire, but that does not come to the level of discrimination. I see no place where an existing law was violated, just the writer’s ego bruised.

All blessings,
