Beste speaks to Cynosure

The Cynosure Club held its January meeting at the lovely country home of Susan Gantt, with Joy Tway co-hosting.
President Sharon Hobson called the meeting to order at 3 p.m. by thanking Beth Taylor for hosting the December Christmas Party at her home with Mary Kanaley, Arlene Nettles, Suzanne Boyington, Agnes Fowler, Bibba Jones and Anne Tipler co-hosting the event.
Members enjoyed touring the lovely home and dining on a delicious meal prepared by the hostesses.
All members agreed they enjoyed this event and it was a wonderful way to begin the Christmas season.
The business was begun with the reading of the minutes and the treasurer’s report.
President Hobson then read the history of the club’s collect written by Mary Stuart, and then members joined together in the reading of the collect.
New business was discussed on considering some date changes for the coming year and reporting to the president of members that were ill.
Danna Smith reported on the upcoming trip planned for April to Fairhope, Ala.
This trip will include dining, museum tour, pottery exhibit, candy factory, driving and walking tour, visiting four homes, and high tea at the Grand Hotel.
Kelley Faulkner then introduced Shanda Beste, owner of All Is Well business, as the guest speaker.
Her topic of the afternoon was on how to take care of ourselves through the study of energy and how it flows through the body.
Members enjoyed her enthusiasm and presentation as evidenced by their many questions.
The meeting adjourned at 4 p.m. with the hostesses serving a delicious meal and hot spiced tea.
