Berton Gilbert, 67, of the Carolina Community, passed away Fri., Jan. 29, 2010.
Funeral services were held Sun., Jan. 31, at the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Teddy Lunsford officiating. Special music was provided by the family. Interment followed in the Stonelake Gardens Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Gilbert; sons and daughters-in-law, Willy (Sandy) Gilbert and John (Pam) Gilbert, all of Indiana, James Gilbert of Kentucky, David Gilbert of Virginia and Scott (Patty) Seekings of Andalusia; daughters, Bonnie Hammontree of Georgia and Danielle (Ronnie) Milstead of Andalusia; brothers, George Gilbert of Indiana and Mort Gilbert; 30 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Burton Lee Gilbert.
Serving as pallbearers were Dylan Segers, Brett Robertson, Ronnie Milstead, David Segers, Ken Robertson and Troy Brown.
