Local crowned Miss Troy Univeristy 2010

Allison Farrington, a 22-year-old graduate student from Andalusia earning a master’s degree in science education, was crowned the 39th Miss Troy University this past weekend at Claudia Crosby Theater on the Troy Campus.
Miss Farrington will represent Troy University in the Miss Alabama Pageant—a Miss America Pageant preliminary—in June. Miss Farrington earned her bachelor’s degree from Troy University in 2009. She is the daughter of Jay and Beverly Farrington.
Finalists were Megan Picklesimer of Chelsea, first runner-up; Sydnii Todd of Birmingham, second runner-up; Allison Reynolds of Auburn, third runner-up; and Mary Alison Cross of Smiths, fourth runner-up.
Hannah Waldrop of Montgomery won the Lesley Holley Crook Talent Award and People’s Choice Award. She sang “In His Eyes.”
Allison Reynolds and Megan Picklesimer tied for the lifestyle and fitness in swimsuit award. Kathryn Hobgood from Semmes was named Miss Congeniality.
