Earl Ray King, 80, of Red Level, passed away Thurs., Jan. 28, 2010, at the Andalusia Regional Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sat., Jan. 30, at the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with David Paher officiating. Interment followed at the Mott Church of Christ in Red Level.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Jernigan King of Red Level; his daughters, Renee King Hooks of Andalusia and Denise King of Evergreen; grandchildren, Jessica Hooks of Andalusia and Anthony (Amanda) Hooks of Tallahassee, Fla.; three great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Sybil King of Andalusia; and brothers-in-law, James C. Jernigan of Mobile and Roger (Zondra) Jernigan of Harmony.
Pallbearers were Roger Miller, Esker Thomasson, Greg Bryant, Richard Moore, Roy Wilson and Donald Knox.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie and Liddie Castleberry King of Red Level; brother, W. C. “Dub” King of Andalusia; son-in-law, Charles H. Hooks of Red Level; and brother-in-law, Wayne Jernigan of Industry.
