Alcohol is believed to be a factor in two separate Brooklyn Road accidents that sent three people to the hospital.
Alabama State Trooper and public information officer Kevin Cook said the first accident, which occurred at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, injured two Enterprise men.
“The men – driver Jason Spears, 26; and passenger Wayne Bass, 47 – were riding in a 2008 Chevrolet when the accident happened,” Cook said. “Luckily, there was no entrapment, and both were taken to Andalusia Regional Hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.”
Cook said the second accident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. Monday along the same stretch of highway.
“The driver of that vehicle – a 1994 GMC – was identified as Kenneth Trim Jr., 58, of Waskom, Texas,” he said. “He too was taken to ARH for non-life threatening injuries.
“Alcohol seems to be a factor in both the accidents and troopers continue to investigate the causes of both crashes,” he said.
