Benny Judson Strength, 70, of Andalusia, died Sat., Feb. 20, 2010, at his residence.
Funeral services were held Mon., Feb. 22, at the Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Foster and the Rev. Clyde Northrop officiating. Burial followed in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Pursell Strength of Andalusia; his daughter and son-in-law, Dina S. and Rob Johnson of Sharpsburg, Ga.; his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Word and Ashley Strength of Carthage, Miss.; four grandsons, Letrice Houston Strength, Thomas Word Strength II, Benny Charles Johnson and Robert Judson Johnson; and his sister and brother-in-law, Peggy S. and Norman Slocum of Schertz, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Judson and Ruth G. Strength.
Pallbearers will be Billy Jones, Tag Wagner, Sam Kyser, Ottis Reynolds, Bill Hamiter, Paul Enzor, Roger Green and Pete Stone.
Honorary pallbearers were his grandsons Letrice Houston Strength, Thomas Word Strength II, Benny Charles Johnson and Robert Judson Johnson.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 765 Flomaton, AL 36441, or the American Cancer Society.
