Wilma Jean Elmore Powell, 80, of Andalusia, died Tues., Feb. 23, 2010, in the Andalusia Hospital.
Funeral services were held Thurs., Feb. 25, at Judson Baptist Church with the Rev. James Pickeron and the Rev. Hank Roberts officiating. Interment followed at Judson Cemetery with Foreman Brown-Service funeral Home directing.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph Powell; and brothers and sisters, James Elmore, Lucille Sightler, J.C. Elmore, Tolbert Elmore, Darrell Elmore, Annie Brogden, Nell Trawick and Donald Elmore.
She is survived by a son, Charles Ray Powell of Andalusia; two daughters, Debra Lynn (Ronald) Smith of Battle Creek, Mich., and Jean Paulette (Clifford) Recklein of Trenton, Mo.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Faye (Glenn) Sightler, Barbara (Don) Bradley, Gloria (Eddie) Cannon, Charlotte (Gary) Smith, Glinda Robbins, Elaine (Gordon) Bulger, all of Andalusia; brothers, Wayne (Margie) Elmore, Jacob (Martha) Elmore, Ray (Judy) Elmore and Harold (Ferrolyn) Elmore, and Ronald Elmore all of Andalusia.
Pallbearers were Clay Elmore, David Elmore, Royce Sightler, Daniel Bulger, Heath Bulger and Greg Powell.
