Man arrested on timber theft charges

A River Falls man has been arrested by the Alabama Forestry Commission for allegedly stealing more than $4,000 in timber.

Willie Frank Tolbert Jr., 52, has been charged with first-degree theft by deception, a Class B felony. He is alleged to have taken $4,400 in timber from inside an undisclosed location in Covington County. If convicted, this crime carries a jail sentence of 2-20 years and a fine up to $30,000.
