Roy Leaman Wells, 81, a resident of Millbrook, passed away on Feb. 21, 2010, at his home with his family near him.
Graveside service were held Wed., Feb. 24, at noon at Brookside Memorial Gardens with the Rev. June Jernigan and Scott Cobb officiating and interment following.
He was a Mason and U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife and the mother of five children, Wilma Wells.
Survivors include wife, Mattie Wells of Andalusia; children, Sandra (Harold) Hogan of Coosada, Ala., Sharron (Jim) Cobb of Prattville, Randall Wells of Elmore, Ala., John (Ellen) Wells of Wetumpka and Melissa (Scott) Cobb of Prattville; 11 grandchildren, Adrienne, Hal, Wesley, Bracken, Russ, Chris, Becca, Lee, Kelly, Matt and Gracie; nine great-grandchildren, Kelsie, Drew, Tyler, Haleigh, Mason, Taylor, Grant, Lizann and Baylor.
Pallbearers were his grandsons, Hal, Wes, Bracken, Russ, Chris, Lee and Matt.
The Wells family would like to thank hospice for the care and concern given to their loved one.
