Trivedi earns certification in sleep medicine

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. Congratulates Dr. Kanhaiyalal Trivedi in becoming board certified in Sleep Medicine. Dr. Trivedi has completed rigorous training and achieved the gold standard in each of the six core competencies of patient care, medical knowledge, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, systems-based practice, and practice-based learning and improvement to practice quality specialized medicine in sleep medicine. These processes are designed to identify qualified specialist through rigorous credential and training requirements and successful completion of its board examinations for psychiatry, neurology, or neurology with special qualification in child neurology and several subspecialties. The ABPN is a Member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

Dr. Trivedi’s office is located at 109 Medical Park Dr. Suite A, near the campus of the Andalusia Regional Hospital.
Dr. Trivedi has been in the Andalusia area for three years.
He is board certified in sleep medicine and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea, migraines, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, stroke, dementia, neuropathies, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders.
He also performs EMG/Nerve conduction studies in his office for the purpose of diagnosing neuropathies, radiculopathies, carpal tunnel syndrome, myopathies and myasthenia gravis.
Dr. Trivedi has 23 years of medical experience. He is a graduate of JN Medical College, India and completed his Neurology residency at North Shore University, New York; he sub-specialized in clinical neurophysiology from the prestigious Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. Neurophysiology consists of neurodiagnostic procedures localizing and diagnosing various complex diseases such as myasthenia gravis, muscular dystrophy, epilepsy syndromes and neuropathies.
