The Andalusia High School bandroom will be named for longtime director Jim Nettles during Homecoming 2010 events in November, city schools superintendent Dr. Beverly McAnulty told board members Monday.

Nettles passed away last month.

The board had long planned to named the new bandroom in Nettles’ honor, McAnulty said, adding that the ceremony was delayed when Nettles became ill.
