ATV accident injures man
An Andalusia man was severely injured in an ATV accident Wednesday.
The accident occurred at approximately 7:35 p.m. on County Road 81 when, Alabama State Troopers reported, a 2008 ATV and a 1985 Chevrolet pickup truck collided.
Brian Keith Ray, the driver of the ATV, suffered extensive injuries. He was life-flighted from Opp’s Channel Lee Stadium to Southeast Medical Center in Dothan.
Family members reported Ray received a severely broken arm, numerous cuts and scrapes and injuries to his legs; however, he did not suffer any brain damages and was conscious and communicating with family Thursday.
The driver of the pickup truck, Larry Hurst of Opp, was not injured during the accident.
