DR. WILLIAM MABREY “BILL” DAVIDSON

Dr. William Mabrey “Bill” Davidson, 62, of Andalusia, died Thurs., May 6, 2010, at his residence.

Memorial services were held Sun., May 9, at 2 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tim Trent officiating.

He was a native of Cullman and moved to Andalusia in 1975 to start his optometry practice. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Andalusia for 35 years and served as head usher for four years up until a few weeks ago. He also taught Sunday school for 15 years. He was a former Boy Scout, an Eagle Scout and worked with Troop 46, where he had the nickname “Eagle Eye.”

During his career, he served Lions Club International for 30 years, providing free optometry work to the patients sent by Lions Club International. He loved to garden, but most of all, he was a loving husband and father to his wife and three children.

His survivors include his wife, Fran; a daughter, Whitney Davidson of Andalusia; two sons, Kyle (Kim) Baumgartner of Andalusia and Gary Baumgartner of Tuscaloosa; two grandchildren, Sydney Brunson and Mia Baumgartner of Andalusia; a sister, Joan and (Wayne) Fuller of Cullman; and a brother, Gary (Terri) Davidson of Winchester, Ky.; and also many nieces and nephews.

RUTH REYNOLDS RABREN

Ruth Reynolds Rabren, 89, of Red Level, died Sun., May 9, 2010, in a local nursing facility.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wed., May 12, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with Minister David Paher officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Mike) Elwell of Alexandria, Va.; a son, Jim (Pam) Rabren of Red Level; nine grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lou Shierk of Tulsa, Okla.

JACKIE L. FORTNER

Jackie L. Fortner, 72, of Andalusia, died Sat., May 8, 2010, in the Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., today, Tues. May 11, at the Red Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Eugene Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church 30 minutes prior to services.

Survivors include her husband, Howard K. Fortner Sr. of Andalusia; her son, Howard Kenny Fortner Jr., of Youngstown, Fla.; a daughter, Andrea D. Fortner of Milton, Fla.; a granddaughter, Alexandria Fortner of Youngstown, Fla.; and two brothers, Frank Winston and James Winston of Hot Springs, Ark.

PAULA CROSS ANDERSON

Paula Cross Anderson, 47, of Andalusia, died Sat., May 8, 2010, at her residence.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., today, Tues., May 11, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Kelley and Judge Ashley McKathan officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Home Cemetery with Foreman Brown-Service directing.

She is survived by sons, Robert Bryan Anderson of Niceville, Fla., and Jonathan Duane Anderson of Mary Esther, Fla.; daughter, Anna Bentley Anderson of Mary Esther, Fla.; mother, Rebecca Cross of Andalusia; sisters, Nancy (David) Williams and Mary (Chuck) Dutton, all of Andalusia, and Leigh (Dale) Locklier of Auburn; nieces and nephews, Ginny (Hunter) Grimes, Josh Dutton, Michael Dutton and Kathryn Williams, all of Andalusia, Elizabeth Locklier of Auburn, Andrew Waits of Birmingham, Brandon Waits of Jackson, Miss., and Chandler Waits of Niceville, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her father, Duane Cross; daughter, Emily Ann Anderson, and niece, Ashley Elizabeth Williams.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Grimes, Josh Dutton, Michael Dutton, Brandon Waits, Chandler Waits and Kelly Cross.

TRACEY LEE BUNDRICK

Tracy Lee Bundrick, 62, of Opp, passed away Sat., May 8, 2010, at Mizell Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 7, 1948, in Alabama. He was an electronics instructor.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Jean Bundrick; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Geoffrey Hudson, and his mother, Evelyn (Ganus) Bundrick.

Funeral services will be held today, Tues., May 11, at 3 p.m. at Wyatt Funeral Home with Jimmy Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Opp City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. at Wyatt Funeral Home prior to services.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations can be made to LBW Community College MacArthur Technical Scholarship Foundation.

ROY RAY MARTIN

Roy Ray Martin, 86, of Opp, passed away Sun., May 9, 2010, at Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Born on May 23, 1923, he spent his life as a cattle farmer.

Funeral services will be held Wed., May 12, at 10 a.m. at Wyatt Funeral Home with James Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in the West County Line Cemetery in Opp.

He is survived by his wife, Clara (Morgan) Martin; son, Harold W. Martin; stepdaughters, Dorothy Thompson and JoAnn Kiser; stepson, Robert Sasser; two sisters, Louise Martin Cook and Merrela Martin Gomillion; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
