Tirey and Susan Bowen of McKenzie are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Alison Suzanne, to Kiel Langley Murphy.

The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of Raymond and Mary Alice Gorum of Red Level and the paternal granddaughter of the late Marvin and Jewel Bowen.

She is a 2003 graduate of Red Level High School and earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Middle Tennessee State University in 2009. She is currently employed as a sixth grade teacher at Mitchell-Neilson Elementary School in Murfreesboron, Tenn.

The prospective groom is the son of Pat and Sharon Murphy of Gallatin, Tenn. He is a 1999 graduate of Gallatin High School and is currently employed at Volunteer State Community College as a textbook manager.

The wedding is scheduled for 6 p.m., June 5, 2010, at The Pick Inn in Gallatin, Tenn. All friends and family are invited to attend.
