Some $1,863 was collected in Friday morning’s drive to benefit the city of Andalusia’s Mural Committee’s project.

Co-Chairs Pat Palmore and Nancy Robbins said various members were out collecting money from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Palmore said approximately $25,000 is needed for the education mural, which will be painted on the Brooks Hardware building.

Donations are tax-deductible, and checks should be made out to the city of Andalusia.
