Buy fresh, buy local

The Powerplant Market Place re-opened this week, giving area farmers an outlet for homegrown healthy choices like fresh snap beans, red potatoes, squash, cucumbers and tomatoes.
Not only are the choices good for your health, they’re good for the local economy and good for the environment.
Buying fresh, local produce means that energy hasn’t been consumed processing, shipping or storing the food.
Not to mention that fresh vegetables plain taste better.
Support local farmers by stopping by this and other produce markets across the county.
Powerplant is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. until noon.
